The Question 3/12: What anime did you check out this weekend?

Yes, I finally did it. I had the time to actually watch some anime! The stars aligned and gave me the opportunity to put in some time with both shows I've seen already and shows I am currently working through. Feels so good to finally get back into some viewing!

This past weekend I had a couple friends that wanted to check out what Chobits was all about. I had watched this series a number of years ago, and I definitely fell in love with it after first viewing. We popped in the first episode over the weekend and it seems that the people watching were interested enough to continue on in the future.

When everyone fell asleep, I popped in disc 3 of Gurren Lagann. I was able to pick right back up where I left off. Somehow, I actually remembered everything I had seen up to that point, so it wasn't hard to get back into it at all! Now I'm 3 episodes deeper than before, and I can't wait to watch more!

What anime did you guys check out this weekend? I hope your time spent viewing was as fruitful as mine!

  1. I continued watching Fairy Tail. It just keeps getting better and better. The characters in it really get fleshed out. It's got me totally hooked at this point. I've got about 12 episodes left to go (out of a total of 48).

  2. Kept up to date with the new shows and watched some more Mobile Suit Gundam and Shakugan no Shana. Also saw the movie Hotarubi no Mori e, which was really good, and finally got around to seeing The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

  5. Just finished watching the 48 episodes of Fairy Tail that have been released by Funi so far. Amazing show. It really has far surpassed my expectations for it. Now if only Funi would release more of it...
