The Question: 5/28 - What anime did you watch this weekend?

If you live in North America, you better have watched some anime this weekend! Why do I say it like that? Because the rebirth of Toonami hit Adult Swim, that's why! What a glorious return it was. So glad to have that anime block getting more attention. Not only that, but Tom returned in grand fashion. I couldn't believe my eyes when it actually came back.

If you did watch that, let us know what you thought! If you didn't, tell us what other anime you checked out!

Is there a FLCL game in the works?

Rumors are an evil, evil thing. Some of them turn out to be true...but others are nothing more than evil ideas that tug on the heartstrings of fans. That's why I'm both super excited and extremely worried about this FLCL rumor.

We're hearing that an FLCL game is in the works over at Namco Bandai. The title is supposedly going to come to both the 3DS and Wii U. On top of that, it's going to feature a storyline that takes place after FLCL, will contain new animation and even has Gainax's involvement in creation. What more could you want from a FLCL game?

That's why I think all of it is bogus. I want it to be true so badly...but I just know it's most likely fake. Hell, even if it is the real deal, I doubt it would ever get localized!

The Question: 05/21 - What anime did you watch this weekend?

As per usual, I didn't have a chance to watch any anime this weekend. Following up on what I said last Monday, I did finally get my sister to watch Grave of the Fireflies. As expected, she bawled her eyes out! She agreed that it's an amazing movie, but she doesn't believe she could ever bring herself to watch it again! If that doesn't speak volumes for how powerful the film is, I don't know what does.

Hopefully your anime viewing over the weekend was a bit more upbeat! What shows/movies did you sit down with?

Toonami returns to Cartoon Network on May 26th

I seriously cannot believe that Cartoon Network is making this a reality. Actually, I guess I should say Adult Swim. Looks like Toonami is coming back, but it's aging right along with the fans that first watched it. Most of those people are all grown up, and it makes sense to see the Toonami branding head back to the fans that once supported it. May 26th is the kick-off date, and boy, it cannot get here fast enough!

Pokemon Black/White 2 animated trailer makes fans drool

Believe it or not, that's actually an animated trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Black/White 2 video game. The trailer has lead to many fans crying out for an anime with this focus. As you know, the Pokemon animated series has it's own storyline that pulls elements from the various games. This trailer is game-specific, but it sure looks like it would make for an awesome anime series in and of itself.

The Question: 5/14 - What anime did you watch this weekend?

I can't even begin to tell you how busy my weekend was. I went from NJ to Massachusetts and back in a matter of 24 hours. I had to do our weekly GoNintendo podcast as well. On top of all that, it was Mother's Day! My weekend was absolutely insane and left no time for hobbies! With that said, I did have a long discussion with my sister about how she needs to see Grave of the Fireflies. I plan on showing that to her very soon, and I'm sure she's going to get just as teary-eyed as I did! Those are my plans, but how did your weekend go? What anime did you get a chance to watch?

The Question: 5/7 - What anime did you watch this weekend?

I don't think I'll ever have the chance to have a calm weekend! Things were so busy this weekend for me. I had to set up some TV-related stuff over at my parents' house, had another podcast to record and had to go out and buy the needed supplies for my parents' new setup. What I didn't get to do was sit down and watch some anime!

I hope you guys had a chance to do that. My free time dwindles every single week, but hearing what you guys watched lets me live vicariously!

Tari Tari - first promo

Tari Tari is the latest series from animation studio P.A. Works, the same studio that put out Angel Beats. That's enough to get me interested! Of course, the trailer looks gorgeous and has some beautiful music as well. Put this on the list of anime that I hope gets localized!
