The Question 2/27: What anime did you check out this weekend?

I'm not going to lie...I came very close to watching anime this weekend. Unfortunately, things got very busy for me. We had friend and family obligations, I had work stuff to do, and on top of all that our cat is having some health issues that he can't seem to kick. Constantly worrying about something doesn't put you in the best situation for enjoying your free time...or even allowing for it.

I sure hope you guys had a better and more anime-fueled weekend than I did! Leave us a comment and share what you watched!

  1. I finished up the first season of "Shakugan no Shana" and the second season of "Zetsubou Sensei". Also started watching the original "Mobile Suit Gundam", which is way more intense than I was anticipating.

  2. I watched Broken Blade on BluRay. A beautiful show with excellent mecha acton sequences, but it falls a bit short in the story department, with too many plot threads left open or unresolved, and others simply under-utilized. Was still worth watching though.

  3. Watched GoldenBoy. I'm guessing that was the birth of fan service. Pretty funny though.

  5. I'm watching probably the most anime this season than I have at any other point in my life. Watched the latest episodes of Nisemonogatari (I feel dirty now), Rinne no Lagrange, and Mouretsu Pirates.

I also managed to finish up Hanasaku Iroha, which is a wonderful series.

  6. I finished off Eden of the East, watching the two films (King of Eden and Paradise Lost). The ending was pretty good, and I enjoyed the series immensely. I've also slowly been working my way through the original Fullmetal Alchemist, and enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I'm about 20 episodes in so far, with plenty more to go.

  7. NOT HUNTER X HUNTER.

Curse Japan and their live TV being more important than the anime that has an online audience as well!

  8. Naruto: Shippuuden. Yeah I plan to watch more this weekend.
