I've never wanted a Legend of Zelda anime more than now

Nintendo is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series.  They're putting together all sorts of fun events, including a Flipnote Studio animation contest.  For those that don't know, Flipnote Studio is an animation program that you can download on your DSi or DSi XL in order to create your very own animations.

Nintendo put together their own short Flipnote Studio tribute to the Zelda series, which they released earlier today.  I've watched it about 10 times now.  I simply cannot get enough of it!

Man, such a short animation full of tons of personality!  Seriously, I'd love to see a Legend of Zelda anime done in this style.  We had that cartoon a million years ago, but that wasn't anime...and it wasn't very good either!  Let's hope the reaction to this video from fans is enough to get Nintendo somewhat interested!

Also, if you'd like to learn how to draw a Wind Waker or Adult style anime Link, Nintendo has put together a step-by-step video to showcase that as well.

  1. Twelve Episode Legend of Zelda series would be awesome! I thought the same thing when I saw this on Gonintendo earlier. As I said ''Epicness'' But if it ever happens then Link still can't talk............... Until the very end. He will say 1 word then the screen will fade out. I don't know about Link's Japanese voice actor but I think for his English voice actor should be Todd Haberkorn or Vic Mignogna but he mush keep all of his original yelps.... You know.. YAAAYY!

  3. I think it would ruin the franchises finesse. I think they should just stick to games.
